1. Introduction Welcome to Volex ("we," "our," or "us"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how our iOS/macOS application handles information when you use our services.

2. Information Collection and Usage Volex is designed with user privacy in mind. We do not sell, rent, or collect your personal identifying information for tracking or advertising purposes.

• Speech Recognition & Microphone Access: Volex accesses your microphone solely for spelling practice and voice recognition. Voice processing and speech-to-text conversion are handled entirely and locally on your device (utilizing on-device machine learning models), ensuring your voice data is never uploaded or shared with external servers.

• Camera & Photo Library (OCR Scanning): Camera and Photo Library access is used exclusively for recognizing printed text on flashcards or documents selected by you (OCR). Image cropping and text detection take place strictly on your local device. We do not upload or store your photos on external servers.

• PencilKit & Drawing Data: Handwriting and pencil inputs used for spelling and review practice are processed on-device and are not transmitted externally.

• Vocabulary Data & Syncing: Your flashcards, decks, starred words, and progress stats are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.

3. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions All transactions, subscriptions, and purchase restorations (Volex Pro) are executed through Apple’s StoreKit framework. We do not store or process your credit card or financial information.

4. Analytics and Survey Data To improve the educational experience and app performance, we may collect minimal, non-personally identifiable usage statistics and optional onboarding survey responses (e.g., target language preference, learning goals, device type) via Google Firebase. This data is strictly anonymous and aggregated.

5. Third-Party Services Volex integrates with dictionary lookup APIs and Apple's Translation framework solely to fetch definitions, and translations requested by you. No user identity or tracking tokens are shared with these external services.
